“Ella creates the perfect blend of Country, Pop and Folk” – Country town
From writing songs in her room at 10 years of age, to gracing some of the most renowned stages in Australia, fans of Taylor Swift and Kelsea Ballerini will connect with Ella’s relatable lyrics, catchy melodies, and sweet harmonies. At a young age, Ella decided she wanted to be both a ‘cowgirl and pop princess,’ so she began to combine pop, country and folk genres to create her own unique sound. Ella’s live performances are truly captivating, with her angelic vocals crowning her Peoples Choice Award at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2019.
With numerous hits and sold-out headlining shows under her belt, Ella is bringing a fresh flare to the thriving Australian Country scene. Her releases have been added onto major Spotify and Apple Music playlists, with her debut EP ‘The End of the Beginning’ nearing half a million streams on Spotify alone.
Ella’s gift for writing has been recognised in many international song writing competitions, as well as naming her Australia’s National Junior Songwriter of the Year in 2021. Powell’s releases have been a huge hit across global radio from Europe to USA and ABC Country, Triple M, Kix Country and many more on home soil. Her release ‘Drive’ was in the Play MPE Top 20 most streamed songs on radio and 4th most downloaded country song in release week.
2024 has been a whirlwind year for this young artist. From starting the year off appearing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival to performing before Sabrina Carpenter at Taylor Swift’s Sydney Era’s tour, Ella has gained significant traction within Australia and overseas. She has also supported and performed with stars including Ash Grunwald, Josh Setterfield, Hayley Jensen and Adam Harvey. Powell has recently performed at the Deni Ute Muster and is supporting Thirsty Merc and Kingswood at Campbelltown’s ‘Sunset Sounds’ in November to close a very successful year.
